Clinical Research Unit (CRU)
Our Mission
The New Jersey Medical School Clinical Research Unit (CRU) is a core facility, available to support NJMS faculty in their clinical research endeavors. Our mission is to:
- Promote growth in Clinical Research at NJMS
- Foster quality and adherence to the highest clinical and ethical standards for conducting clinical research
- Serve as a resource for our faculty and staff in all matters related to clinical research implementation
- Serve the needs of our Greater Newark Community by facilitating access to cutting edge treatments
Our Facility
The CRU is conveniently and centrally located on the main level of the Doctor’s Office Center at 90 Bergen St., in newly renovated space. Our facility includes:
- Fully equipped exam room
- Phlebotomy and Vital signs area
- Infusion area
- Consult space
- Ample staff and investigator work space

Our Services
Our dedicated and experienced research team has worked across nearly all therapeutic areas at NJMS, and have experience working in all phases of clinical research with Federal, Industry and Foundation sponsors, in addition to investigator-initiated research.
