Dr. William C. Gause received his BA from the University of Virginia and his Ph.D. at Cornell University (1986). In 2004, Dr. Gause joined the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers University) as the Senior Associate Dean for Research, Director of the Center for Immunity and Inflammation, and University Professor of Medicine at New Jersey Medical School.

Dr. Alland is a Professor of Medicine and the Chief of Infectious Disease as well as the Director of the Center for Emerging Pathogens and the Rutgers Regional Biocontainment Laboratories at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Alland is internationally recognized for his pioneering work on the epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, and molecular evolution of M. tuberculosis (Mtb).
