Welcome to the Center for Advanced Metabolomics and Proteomics Research (CAMPR)
(formerly the Center for Advanced Proteomics Research, CAPR)
Our center has long provided state-of-the-art proteomics services—from global protein profiling to targeted quantification—to help researchers accelerate discoveries in biology, medicine, and translational research. With a highly skilled team and advanced instrumentation, we continue to support investigators in identifying, quantifying, and characterizing proteins with the highest sensitivity.
Faster and more proteomics sensitivity: timsTOF AIP Mass Spectrometer
Great news in 2025! Our facility has newly installed a Bruker timsTOF AIP Mass Spectrometer (acquired via NIH S10 grant 1S10OD034300). This system combines Trapped Ion Mobility Spectrometry (TIMS) for enhanced separation with an Athena Ion Processor (AIP) that significantly boosts signal. This is coupled with a robust proteoElute nanoflow UHPLC system to ensure reproducible and high-throughput sample processing.
Expanding Our Horizons: Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MSI)
To reflect our expanded capabilities, we have evolved from CAPR to CAMPR. This change highlights our newest offering: Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MSI), a transformative technology that combines molecular precision with spatial resolution. MSI enables researchers to visualize the distribution of lipids, metabolites, and drugs directly in tissue sections—without labels or probes—producing detailed molecular maps that power new insights in spatial biology, biomarker discovery, drug distribution, and disease pathology.
We are excited to bring this powerful new dimension to our established proteomics services and warmly invite researchers to explore how CAMPR can help advance your next discovery.
